Oyo State Attains 64.4 Percentage On Budget Performance
Oyo State Executive Council has reported that from January to September 2024 its budget has attain 64.4percent performance rate in recurrent expenditure.
Addressing newsmen, at the governor's office briefing room, the commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Professor Musibau Babatunde said the treasury board meeting slated for next week Tuesday is ahead of 2025 Budget and will be headed by governor Seyi Makinde.
Also at the briefing, Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology,Professor Soliu Adelabu, revealed that the council has approved a major initiative to remodel and enhance two technical colleges.
This project which will adhere to the World Bank’s Technical Vocational Education and Training model and is set to commence with a first phase budget of approximately one billion, one hundred and fifty-three million, four hundred and fourteen thousand, ninety-eight naira and eighty-one kobo, while 23 schools have been reopened in the Oyo federal Constituency having settled land disputes in the area.
Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, Professor Daoud Sangodoyin, also discussed three key briefs presented during the executive meeting.
