Ondo state command of the Nigeria police has issued a release confirming the arrest of the killer cop that shot dead a haulage truck driver in Uso town in the southern senatorial district of the state.

The release stated that the erring police officer, Sergeant Idowu Omosuyi surrendered himself to a team of investigators set up by the state commissioner of police, Adie Undie to probe the incident and he's presently undergoing orderly room trial at the state police headquarters.

Against the outcry that followed the escape of the killer cop, the command restated its stand that it will never shield any of his personnel that commits any manner of infraction or illegality.

This development is expected to speed up investigations and subsequent charge of the suspect to the law court.
