The Ogun State House of Assembly has set up a legislative compliance committee to monitor the level of compliance to the existing laws passed by the assembly and have been assented to by the Governor.

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Oludaisi Elemide made this known in Abeokuta during the visit of the consolidated chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists to his office.
He said the Assembly has made laws on land grabbing, anti cultism, child rights and protection among others but observed that most of the laws are not adequately enforced.

He said the House decided to form the committee to ensure proper monitoring of and compliance to laws made by the assembly, adding that the house is committed to making laws that will have positive impacts on the lives of the people.
