The Registrar of the National Examinations Council, NECO, Prof. Ibrahim Wushishi, said the Council has verified nearly five million results electronically through its e-Verify platform.

The platform, introduced two years ago, replaced the manual process that previously took months to handle requests from institutions across over 50 countries.

He noted that the system allows seamless authentication of candidates’ results and supports efforts to safeguard the integrity of NECO certificates.

He congratulated the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Uduma Oji Uduma, on his appointment and outlined partnership objectives, including integration of NOUN into the e-Verify platform and cooperation on CBT using the university’s nationwide infrastructure.

Uduma welcomed the initiative and assured of NOUN’s readiness to collaborate, stressing the importance of result verification in maintaining academic integrity.
