NECO Releases Results Of 2025 BECE

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the results of the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
According to a statement signed by the Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Azeez Sani, a total of 179,201 candidates registered for the examination, which covered 12 subjects. The Examination commenced on May 12, 2025, and successfully concluded on May 23, 2025.
The release of the results followed the successful conclusion of the 2025 BECE Award Committee meeting held at the Council’s headquarters in Minna.
The meeting, chaired by Dr. (Mrs.) Folake Olatunji David, Director of Basic Education at the Federal Ministry of Education, was attended by NECO management and several secondary school principals from across the country.
Dr. Olatunji David expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the examination and the processes leading to the timely release of the results.
In the same vein, NECO announced that the 2025 BECE Re-sit examination has been scheduled for July 23 and 24, 2025. The re-sit will cover Mathematics and English Studies, offering candidates an opportunity to improve their grades in these critical subjects.
