NDLEA so far arrested 219 suspected drug dealers in Adamawa
National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency has so far arrested two hundred and nineteen persons for dealing, possessing and use illicit drugs in Adamawa State.
The State commandant Yakubu Kibo disclosed this at the command headquarters during the commemoration of the United Nations international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking
Kibo said that stakeholders can increase youth resilience and support treatment, rehabilitation and reintegration which will go a long way in helping to prevent crime and violence in the society.
According to him, the command prosecuted and secured the convictions of thirty-six persons within the period and many cases are undergoing prosecution before the Federal High Court in Yola.
Kibo, however, called on the general public with useful information that can lead to the arrest of drug sellers in their areas to NDLEA to reduce the burden of drug abuse in the society, also request for more support from the State government in the areas of grass root Anti-drug abuse enlightenment campaign.
