A Storey building located at Onidundu Lane, Ijokodo lane has been razed by fire.

 The incident in which source is yet to be determined destroyed property worth millions of naira.

 Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that the inferno started from one of the rooms in the building before it spread to other parts.

 Some of the eyewitnesses attributed the cause of the fire to electrical spark while others claimed the inferno started from the kitchen.

 It was gathered that the fire had spread to other parts of the building before the arrival of officers from the Oyo state fire service

 The frantic efforts of the firefighters prevented the inferno from spreading to other buildings in the area.

 The owner of the building, chief Goke Amoo, who is the Baale of Onidundu and one of the victims Awotoye Johnson expressed dismay about the disaster.

 Also, an official of the state fire service disclosed that the fire had spread to all parts of the building before they were called adding that the cause of the inferno remains unknown

As at the time of compiling this report occupants of the building were seen packing remnants of their property.
