NDLEA arrest drug trafficers
The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Adamawa state command hasparaded five suspected drugs traffickers caught with 708.2 kilograms of assorted illicit substances.
The State Commander of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency,Adamawa State command, Yakubu Kibo disclosed this during a press conference at the command headquarters in yola, the Adamawa State capital
Adamawa state commander of NDLEA, Yakubu Kibo said the drugs were transported from Lagos in a luxurious bus and was apprehended by operatives of the agency, while other suspects were apprehended selling the drugs.
The commander said the increasing number of commercial vehicles in trafficking drugs is a disturbing trend. He said the command has
impounded over 10 vehicles in connection to drugs trafficking thismonth. Kibo warn owners of both private and commercial vehicles not to
entrust their vehicles to people of questionable characters. He said the number of women involved in drugs trafficking is alarming and
worrisome.
While appreciating the cooperation of the public and sister agencies in tackling the menace of drugs on the society, Kibo said with more
synergy and information, the command will effectively reduce the drugs trafficking in the state.
