National Police Day: IGP Calls For Stronger Support For Police
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu, has called for stronger public support for police personnel. He noted that officers continue to operate under difficult conditions while carrying out their duties across the country.
Disu, during a walkathon event in Abuja, organised by the Force, as part of activities marking the National Police Day, stressed that the police remain committed to strengthening cooperation with citizens, whom he described as the bosses.
He added that while the police are mandated to serve and protect citizens, members of the public, also, have a responsibility to support and protect police personnel in the discharge of their duties.
