Lawmaker urges NUPENG to dialogue
With petroleum tanker drivers in Nigeria affirming that there is no going back on their decision to embark on an indefinite nationwide strike, a Nigerian lawmaker has urged the Union members to explore the option of dialogue with the government and other relevant agencies to seek redress.
Rep. Nicholas Ossai Ossai, a member representing Ndokwa/Ukwa Federal constituency of Delta State at the Nigeria’s House of Representatives in a chat with Galaxy television in Abuja, said the untold hardship that will come with the strike by the tanker drivers will be too massive for the ordinary Nigerian to cope with.

He said by coming to terms with the present realities makes dialogue and not strike as a better option.
Recall that members of Nigeria’s petroleum tanker drivers’ union had resolved to down tools in protest of poor working conditions.
