The Imo state police command says it has begun a manhunt for the native doctor and owner of a property used as a kidnapping den at the Ngokpoala community.

Police spokesperson Henry Okoye in a statement made available to Galaxy news, said the discovery at the kidnappers den owned by the native doctor who is on the run, shows that unlawful activities are going on in the compound where fetish and decomposed human parts were discovered.

According to the police, credible intelligence led to the discovery of the native doctors kidnap den in Ngokpoala, while the command is said to have intensified manhunt not only for the native doctor, but on all those involved in criminal activities in the community.

The police have since taken over the compound and urged members of the public with useful information leading to the arrest of the native doctor, to report to the nearest police station.
