Governor Uba Sani has commended the officers and soldiers of 1 division Nigerian army Kaduna for demonstrating extraordinary commitment in discharging their constitutional responsibilities. Sani, praised the division’s successes against kidnapping, cattle rustling as well as banditry across Kaduna State and surrounding areas.

The Special Guest of Honour, Governor Uba Sani, commended the Nigerian Army’s 1 Division for its dedication and resilience. Represented by his Deputy, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, Sani said WASA remained a cherished Nigerian Army tradition that strengthens bonds between troops, their families, and civilian friends.

Earlier in his remarks, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Div. Nigerian Army, Kaduna, Maj.-Gen Abubakar Wase, says it has recorded major security gains across its area of responsibility in 2025.Wase stated this at the 2025 West African Social Activities (WASA) programme held in Kaduna.

Wase said the 2025 training directives of the division were effectively executed with professionalism and strict regimentation. Wase appreciated Gov. Uba Sani for supporting security agencies and the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen Waidi Shaibu for his leadership and guidance. Jigsaw state governors, represented by Engr Aminu Usman Gumel described the gallantry and courage of the troops during operations as commendable and deeply appreciated. This celebration Mark the end of training and operational activities within the calendar year.
