As part of measures to avert the destruction of properties and loss of lives as a result of the incessant flooding in the Edo community of Egor, in Egor local government area of the state.

The Edo state governor Godwin Obaseki has promised to fulfill his promise of constructing drains and water channels to prevent erosion and flooding.

The governor made this known when he inspected the ongoing construction work as residents already vacated some of the affected areas of the community.

Fielding questions from newsmen, the Edo state governor said the residents have been suffering from flooding hence the intervention.
