FRSC caution tanker drivers over indiscriminate parking

The Federal Roads Safety Corps Delta state command has cautioned petrol tanker drivers on the dangers of parking along the Warri/NNPC expressway to avert tanker explosion.

This is coming less than a week after a second petrol tanker exploded along the Onitsha/Enugu expressway which shares a common boundary with the Delta state capital Asaba.

Speaking to Galaxy news, the Delta state coordinator of the FRSC special marshal Mr. Dickson Amromahe said parking along the expressway is a dangerous signal.

He calls for caution regarding the state of roads across the state to avoid tankers and commercial vehicles crashes.

Several efforts by the Federal roads agency to draw the attention of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria on relocating the tankers was turned down, while accidents sometimes occur on a weekly basis as a result of indiscriminate parking along the expressway.
