Four more commissioners resign in Rivers
The political crisis currently ongoing in Rivers state have taken another twist as the number of resigned commissioners service in the cabinet of governor Siminilayi Fubara has risen to five.
The four new commissioners to resign after the state attorney general and commissioner for justice are, works commissioner, social welfare, special duties,as well as the commissioner for finance.
The five commissioners who have so far resigned and loyalists of the FCT minister Nyesom Wike, stated personal reasons for their resignation in their separate letters to the state governor through the office of the secretary to the state government.
More commissioners and loyalists of the FCT minister are expected to follow suit, in solidarity with their colleagues as the state governor Siminilayi Fubara promised to pilot the affairs of the state diligently despite the cracks in his cabinet.
