Fire outbreak razed furniture market in Opolo Community, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, in the early hours of the Friday. The inferno left trail of destruction of goods worth millions of naira.

The inferno caused huge damages to traders; the traders, therefore, appealed for assistance from the government and well meaning Bayelsans.

Some of the victims lamented the effect of the fire incidents on their businesses.

On his part, the head of the Federal Fire service in Bayelsa State, John Onyinda, emphasizes the need for residents to adopt fire safety precautions.
