Election Committee Confident Of Oyebanji's Affirmation, Commends Peaceful Delegate Congress
The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Congress Committee for Ekiti State, Jarret Tenebe, has expressed confidence in the affirmation of Governor Biodun Oyebanji as the consensus candidate of the party, describing the APC delegate congress held across the 16 local government areas of the state as peaceful, transparent and in full compliance with the party’s constitution.
Speaking with journalists in Ado-Ekiti, Tenebe, who also doubles as the APC Chairman in Edo State, said the exercise, which began earlier in the day, was seamless and orderly, reflecting the unity and discipline within the Ekiti chapter of the ruling party.
Tenebe expressed delight that the congress further confirmed that the APC remains the dominant political force in Ekiti, noting that many members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have recently defected to the ruling party. Members of the National Assembly commended the process and express optimism in the ability of Governor Oyebanji to win the election.
Also speaking, Ekiti APC Chairman, Barrister Sola Eleshin commended the team for the job well-done, saying their fair scrutiny of the delegate Congress reflects their integrity and hardwork in making sure that peace and harmony thrive in the state.
