Clergy blame Nigeria woes on poor upbringing

In view of the current state of the nation bedeviled by insecurity and economic downturn, some clergy in Plateau state are calling on the citizenry to resort to prayers due to the enormity of the situations.


 In an interview with news men, Reverend Nathan Nwachukwu of the Lords Assembly said the nation is now daily faced with numerous kinds of dangers hence the need for prayers to end the uncertainties in the land.

 The recent killing of oil exploration workers and some staff of the University of Maiduguri in Borno state has left many wondering if the insecurity in the nation will come to an end anytime soon

Reverend John Shegu said matters arising from the polity and national discuss shows that divinity is required to end the current woes befalling the nation.  

He called on leaders of various sects and religions to seek the face of God for the salvation of the country.

Some members of COCIN church said the difficulties faced in the country today can be traced to the poor upbringing some leaders had while growing up.

They called for the proper nurturing of children while they are still malleable because they are leaders of tomorrow that can effect the necessary change for progress, peace and prosperity of Nigeria,

The lingering insecurity and economic recession has become an issue of concern to all Nigerians hence the call for prayers.
