Anambra to observe public holiday in honor of Zik
The Anambra State Government has stated that the 16th November of every year shall be observed as a public holiday in honour of Nigeria's first Governor-General and President, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe.
This was disclosed by the State Governor at the 8th Zik's lecture series held at the auditorium of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, the Anambra State capital.
Delivering his lecture on the day, the former president of Sierra Leone, Ernest Bai Koroma said Africa has been the victim of the largest forced migration in human history.
Urging Africans and African leaders to learn from the accommodating nature of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe.
