Ajimobi charges CIIN on employment generation
The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) has been advised to evolve more applications and policies that would mitigate the effect of job losses across the country.
Governor Abiola Ajimobi who gave the charge when he received top delegation from the institute on a courtesy visit to his office stressed that this is necessary in order to make the institute more relevant.
The Governor, who represented by the secretaty to the state government added that the institute should also partner with the state government in employment generation by engaging vibrant youths in the state as underwriters
He noted that Oyo state government would always acknowledge the role of professional bodies in socioeconomic development of the state and ensure due diligence in dealing with them.
The President of the chartered insurance Institute of Nigeria Mrs. Funmi Babington-Ashaye reiterated some of the objectives and mandate of the institute and called for partnership of the Oyo state government in achieving its objectives
Mrs. Babington-Ashaye explained that the institute would always contribute in improving the state education sector while opening up more frontiers to strengthen relationship between the institute and state government.
