The Edo State Special Security Task Force on Cultism and Kidnapping, in a swift response operation, arrested 8 suspects, and sealed buildings used for initiation of new members.

The Edo Special Security Task Force, led by the coordinator, Noah Idemudia, stormed communities around the university vicinity, in a stop and search exercise, where eight suspects were taken into custody.

The Task Force Coordinator, Noah Idemudia, said the operation was as a result of the killing of the UNIBEN Undergraduate.

He said that the operation will be sustained to rid the state of cult activities after the killing of a 200-level political science student of the University of Benin.

He warned the sponsors of the killings in Edo State to desist, as the Task force is on their trail and will soon get to them.

The Task Force Coordinator reiterated that the operation will continue until the state is free from cultism, kidnapping and other criminal activities.
