The Kaduna State High Court, on Tuesday, denied bail to former Governor Nasir El-Rufai 0f Kaduna State, scheduling first week of June for proceedings.

The presiding Judge of the Kaduna State High Court, Justice Darius Khobo, said former Governor Nasir El-Rufai was denied bail to allow a fair hearing and avoid interfering with the ongoing investigation. He argued that the former governor will be able to influence the case, if allowed to be free.

Shuaibu Maikati, an ally of the former governor, in a media interaction after the court session, expressed concern about the court's decision and said he has faith.
