Imo youths get empowered on e-transact business
In line with its mandate to empower the youths of the state to get better and be self-reliance, the Imo state government in collaboration with a nongovernmental organization under the umbrella of Iwanyawu Foundation has rolled out a technology-driven symposium to train over 5,000 youths across the 27 local government of the state.
Flagging off the exercise, Governor Emeka Ihedioha represented by his deputy Engr. Gerald Irona said never again will youths in the state be left unemployed to roam about the street.
Also speaking at the flag-off exercise the commissioner for technology Nze Meekam Mgbenwelu and the commissioner for youths Engr. Okey Umezeronini in their separate remarks recount the significant effect of the program on the state's economy.
They, however, charge the enlisted participants as well as other prospective participants to make judicious use of the opportunity and better their lives.
The coordinator Iwanyawu foundation Mr Chenedu Nsofor enumerated the possible benefits in the programs, he said every participant who undergo the training successfully will be empowered with needed equipment and take-off fund with adequate monitoring to ensure they all succeed.

He maintained that full activation of technology in major sector of the state will go a long way to boost the economy and more jobs will be created to cob to the current situation of unemployment.
