Nyanya Terror Suspects To Appear In Court On November
Justice Ademola Adeniyi of the Federal High Court has fixed 10th of November 2014 for the arraignment of Aminu Ogwuche, the alleged mastermind of the April 14 bomb blast in Nyanya.
Adeniyi fixed the date after the three-count criminal charge that was entered against the accused came up for mention on Friday.
The Counsel to the State Security Service(SSS), Clifford Osagie argued that the service had obtained an order from the Federal High Court to detain the suspect for ninety days to conclude its investigation.
Justice Adeniyi therefore accepted the motion and adjourned for the production of the accused on the fixed date.
Meanwhile, Adeniyi also fixed the 30th of September 2014 to rule on whether the court has jurisdiction to entertain the suit brought by the former deputy Governor of Adamawa State Bala Ngilari asking the court to nullify his impeachment.
Mr. Ngilari had gone to court to challenge his impeachment, arguing that he remains the substantive governor of the state, following the impeachment of the former Governor, Murtala Nyako.
