Former Senator Kabir Marafa, who represented Zamfara Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly 2011 to 2019, has defected to the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC. Marafa decamped to the NDC three weeks after he joined the African Democratic Congress, ADC, dumping the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

The National Leader of the NDC, Senator Seriake Dickson, received Marafa into the party at his residence in Abuja.

Marafa is a remarkable political force in Zamfara State North West Nigeria.
