Rivers Assembly postpones sitting
The Rivers State House of Assembly has postponed its sitting indefinetely.
The Chief Whip of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Evan Bipi clarified that the sitting was postponed due to the power challenges presently faced in the assembly premises and not as a result of any crisis.
Barely 72 hours after the sitting where Hon. Benibo Anabraba emerged as the Minority Leader of the eight assembly, the Chief Whip of the house, Evan Bipi and an human right activist, Livingstone Wechie emphasisied the need to move on without division.
Livingstone Wechie added that the House of Assembly should strive towards the growth and development of the state; making meaningful laws that will make lives better for the people.
In a related development, an activist disclosed in Port Harcourt after the election of the minority leader that the majority and the minority party should be one and do the needful in other to move the state forward.
