PDP leaders meet in Ibadan

Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) met in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital where they decried the poor state of the nation and urged Nigerians to have a rethink.


The party from each state in the southwest have 20 representatives each led by their chairmen as well as former governors.

The focus of the meeting it was learnt is to form a credible and formidable party ahead of the 2019 general election.

Addressing the leaders, chairman of the People Democratic Party Governor's forum, and the governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose decried the level of extreme poverty that Nigerians are being exposed to on daily basis.

Also in his remark at the opening session of the meeting, the chairman of the party in the Southwest, Eddy Olafeso said the meeting is organised on order to reposition the party in the region and prepare ground ahead of the 2019 general elections.


The meeting thereafter moved into a closed session.
