‎The former Minister of Power, a gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, Adebayo Adelabu, has rejected the result of the party's primary election in Oyo State, alleging foul play. The former minister threatened to petition the APC leadership.

‎Adelabu expressed dissatisfaction over the conduct of the primary election across the state, stated that the primary is full of gross misconducts, ranging from infractions in some wards, and early commencement of the election, hours before the appointed time.

Adelabu, in Ibadan, said that the gubernatorial primary was not free, fair and credible. He said that there were reported cases of gross misconducts, because the elections were not conducted transparently.

‎Adelabu vowed to write serious petitions against all the irregularities, not just in Ibadan, but across all the five zones in Oyo State.
‎
‎Meanwhile, at Ward 9, Ibadan Southeast local government, Adelabu polled 430 to defeat his rival Senator Sharafadeen Alli who has three votes.

Why the process is yet to be concluded, Senator Sharafadeen Alli was leading as at the last stage.
