Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has promised to correct imbalance in appointments in the state.
Though, the governor said he is not aware that any section of the state is excluded or marginalized in political appointments.
 
Meanwhile, leaders and elders of Owan Community, two weeks ago, accused the  Okpebholo administration of neglect and non-compliance in allocating political positions in the state.

The Governor, convening meeting, deliberated with the leaders and stakeholders of the protesting community.


Addressing the community leaders at the Government House, G.R.A., Benin City, Governor Okpebholo denied knowledge of the exclusion or neglect, and, therefore, promised to address the issues. The community leader, acknowledging the promise, resolved to wait for the governor to fulfill his promise.
