Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has performed the ground breaking ceremony for the state owned 100MW power generating plant and the 300 Metric Tons LNG facility in Ologbo.

The governor expressed concerns over incessant epileptic power supply in the state.

Speaking after performing the groundbreaking ceremony, signifying the state government has resolved to kickstart the project, Governor Okpebholo said the project is to sustain economic growth in the state.

The council chairman noted the significance of the project.

The power plant, when completed will alleviate the suffering of the people, as Edo State has been having perennial power outage for years, amid several protests by civil society groups.
