Three more members of the House of Representatives have defected from the All Progressives Congress, APC, barely 24 hours after 13 lawmakers announced similar moves.

Abubakar Zango, Adamawa State; and Abdullahi El-Rasheed, Gombe State, defected to the African Democratic Congress, ADC; while Rabiu Bala, Bauchi State, joined the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP.

The lawmakers said their decisions followed consultations with their constituents.

Also at plenary, the House adopted motions on insecurity in Ekiti and Taraba states, urging security agencies to strengthen protection for affected communities.
