Ahead of May 22 Local Government Election in Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde has directed the Peoples Democratic Party Candidates to embark on an aggressive campaign ahead of the poll.

The Governor on Sunday met with the candidates at the Agodi Government House where issues relating to the election were discussed extensively.

Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that Makinde flanked by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Bayo Lawal among others were at the meeting where the party's candidates assured the Governor of their readiness to swing into action.

Speaking with journalists after the meeting, the Spokesman of the Candidates, Alawode Oluwole said it was a meeting between father and sons adding that all arrangement for the campaign has been concluded.

He declared the readiness of the candidates to move to their respective council areas for an aggressive campaign ahead of the May 22 Council poll.

The party's candidates called for the support and cooperation of the party faithful ahead of the poll.
