INEC  sensitize Bayelsans on PVC collection

The Bayelsa state resident electoral commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Dr. Cyril Omorogbe has reiterated the commitment of the commission to sensitize the people in collecting their Permanent Voters Card (PVC).


The Resident Electoral Commissioner made the disclosure at the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ)'s headquarters in Yenagoa, the state capital during a sensitization workshop with stakeholders on the high number of uncollected PVCs in the state.

Speaking on the need for voters to collect their PVCs, the commissioner assures on adequate sensitization in the eight local government areas.

Stakeholders who spoke include the state chairmen of the Civil Liberties Organization (CLO) and the inter-party agency, as well as the state director, National Orientation Agency (NOA).

It will be recalled that the Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC had last month in a statement, said the collection of PVC,s will be a success story if they can achieve ninety-five percent.
