An  early  morning  fire has consumed  a Warri based hospital owned by  a  renowned medical doctor Dr. Steve  Oregbu   who specializes in operating people with gunshot wounds.

The fire, which started around 7.30am in the morning  saw sympathizers  throwing down hospital equipment  and breaking into the one story building to control  the fire before the arrival of men of the Delta state fire service.

Speaking on the fire outbreak, a Councillor representing Warri constituency who called in the fire service, blame them for responding late, while the head of the team denied the accusation.
                                                       
Also  speaking, the hospital director stated that the fire outbreak was as a result of electrical fault, and blame the delay on logistics.

Meanwhile, after several hours of trying to contain the fire, the fire service  ran out of water while community youths  stormed the hospital  to put an end to the fire, after it had  razed the inside of the
hospital. The Councillor representing  Warri ward commended the youths for their brilliance.
