Edo PDP calls for unity after Ize Iyamu resignation

Chairman of Edo state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Dan Orbih, has called on party faithful to remain united and work for the progress of the party in the state.

Chief Orbih, made the call following the resignation of Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu,  the former governorship candidate of the PDP in 2016,  alongside his supporters to join the APC a few days ago in Benin city.

He made this known to newsmen in Benin City after a meeting with party leaders across the state, saying it is time for the party to look into the party constitution very well and follow the rules of the party so that any member who wants to contest for any position must be in the party for six months to one year.

On his part the member representing Oredo federal constituency at the Nation Assembly, Hon Omoregie Ihama said anybody has right to move, but that those who move are not true members of our party.

The party leadership should check the ways members are doing before giving them track to run.

They, however, said the party leadership must need to look into things that affecting the party to prevent it from repeating itself.
