Edo Government Receives South African Returnees

The Edo State Government, mandating the Edo State Migration Agency, received over 100 citizens of the State who returned South Africa as a result of the Xenophobic attacks.

Some of the Returnees, who arrived with their families after spending decades in foreign land, were received at the Benin Airport, where they await clarification before further directives by the Edo State Government.

Arriving the Benin Airport, the Returnees commended the governor for his gesture, while demanding for reintegration into the system.

The Director General of the Edo State Migration Agency, Hon. Lucky Agazuma, receiving the Returnees, said the state government is looking forward to reintegrating the Returnees after what they faced in South Africa.

Meanwhile, documentation of Returnees continued, according to the Agency Director General, in ensuring that only genuine Returnees are captured.
