Dickson seeks support from elders
In a bid to achieve what he described as economic survival, the Bayelsa state governor, Seriake Dickson has called for the support of members of the state Elders’ forum.
He made the call at the government house in Yenagoa during a meeting with members of the group to fashion out modalities in moving the state forward.
Addressing the elders, Governor Dickson spoke on the need to encourage his government since they are moving in the right direction.
On their part, the chairman, Bayelsa Elders’ forum and his secretary scored the governors administration high in infrastructural development.
It will be recalled that some Elders in the state were said to have teamed up with the opposition party, but the meeting with the governor could be described as a fence mending one.
