The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has intensified preparations for National Convention, and the various committees increasing their activities to make the convention successful.

Accordingly, the Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, officially inaugurated the APC Committee on Accommodation and Transportation in Abuja for the 2026 National Convention.

The Committee will oversee critical logistics for the forthcoming convention. Umahi is the chairman of the Transportation Team, while Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, is Chairman of the Accommodation team.

The Committee is saddled with the responsibility of planning and managing the movement and lodging of party leaders, delegates, and special guests expected across the country.

The Minister emphasized the central role of Transportation and Accommodation in determining the success of a major political events, such as the APC National Convention.

The committee’s mandate includes transportation logistics and movement planning, accommodation planning and coordination, hotel engagement and room allocation, as well as monitoring and operational support throughout the duration of the convention.
