Vice President Shettima Departs Dubai For Saudi Arabia
Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Dubai for Saudi Arabia following his representation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the commissioning of a $315 million oil production and storage facility owned by Oriental Energy Limited (OERL).
Stanley Nkwocha Senior Special Assistant to The President on Media & Communications (Office of The Vice President) In a statement said the Vice President was seen off at the airport by the Executive Chairman of OERL, Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi; the Executive Vice Chairman of OERL, Engr. Goni M. Sheikh and many others.
Nkwocha said Following the Dubai event, the Vice President will proceed to perform the Lesser Hajj (Umrah) in the holy cities of Madinah and Makkah from December 16 to 19, 2024. He is accompanied by the Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum.
On December 20, 2024, senator Shettima is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in Jeddah.
The discussions will centre on co-financing arrangements for the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ Phase II) and enhancing coordination of IsDB projects in Nigeria to support the country's agricultural and economic development.
