Troops Decimate 715 Terrorists in the Month of April

The Defence Headquarters says the synchronized strikes of the ground and air forces resulted to the decimation of over 715 terrorists in the last 4 weeks.

It equally stated that during the process troops arrested 146 criminals and rescued 465 kidnapped hostages in the period under review.

Director of the Defence Media Operations Maj. Gen. Edward Buba made the disclosure while addressing journalists on the ongoing military operations across the country held at Defence Headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.

Gen. Edward Buba stated that troops of the Niger Delta region in offensive operations against oil theft recovered 2,563,335 litres of stolen crude oil, 254,620 litres of illegally refined AGO, 1,050 litres of DPK and 8,000 litres of PMS, denying the oil theft of an estimated sum over #2 bn
amongst other items.

The Director while admitting the errors in the drone strikes on Tundu Biri community in Kaduna State, revealed that the two officers involved were going to face military court martial for their actions.

Recall that the drone strikes took place on December 3, 2023, killing several innocent villagers in Tundu Biri community of Igabi local government area of Kaduna State .
