President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has removd the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun.

Senior police officials and sources within the Police Service Commission, PSC, confirmed the development on Tuesday and confirmed that Tinubu ordered Egbetokun’s removal from office.

Olatunji Disu, Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG, in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department, FCID, Annex, Alagbon, Lagos, will be stepping in as Egbetokun's successor.
