Senate Committee on Finance gives Assurance of Steady Economic Growt
The Senate Committee on Finance has assured Nigerians that the planned sale of crude in Naira would in no way have adverse effects on the exchange rate and the 2024 Budget as passes by the National Assembly.
The Chairman of the Committee, Senator Sanni Musa gave the assurance in Abuja while speaking with Journalists on the outcome of the meeting with the stakeholders in the country's economy.
Galaxy Television reports that Senator Musa said thought the 2014 Budget as passes by the National Assembly was predicated on the Naira to Dollar benchmark adding that, the decision on the sale of the crude in Naira was arrived at by the President for economic growth as well reduce inflammation.
He expressed satisfaction with the reports and updates provided by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Bayo and the Group Managing Director of NNPCL, Mala Kyari saying there is hope for the hailing economy.
On the 2025 Appropriation Bill, the Chairman of the Committee assured that all hands are presently on the deck, as the economic team in conjunction with the Ministry of Finance are working on the budget with the support from the Presidency.
