The House of Representatives has urged the Federal Government to direct NNPCL and Dangote Refinery to allow independent marketers to lift Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from the Dangote Refinery. 

This resolution followed a motion of urgent public importance by Hon. Oboku Oforji, who highlighted concerns over NNPCL and major marketers being the exclusive off-takers, which could lead to monopoly and lack of competition. 

He noted that independent marketers might be forced to import fuel to sustain their businesses if excluded.

The House called on Dangote Refinery to establish or partner with tank farms across the country to improve accessibility to petroleum products.

Additionally, the House requested NNPCL to disclose the price it sells crude oil to Dangote Refinery and for Dangote Refinery to reveal the price it sells PMS to NNPCL, ensuring transparency and accountability. 

The joint Committees on Petroleum Resources (Midstream and Downstream) were tasked with ensuring compliance.

The House of Representatives also resolved to investigate allegations against the EFCC and Nigeria Correctional Services regarding the prosecution and imprisonment of cross-dresser Bobrisky.

 The decision followed a motion by Hon. Patrick Umoh, citing a publication by Martins Vincent Otse (VeryDarkMan), which accused the EFCC of dropping money laundering charges against Bobrisky after receiving N15 million. 

The publication also claimed that, despite being convicted for abusing and defacing the Naira, Bobrisky did not serve his sentence within the Correctional Service but was held outside its confines.
