Protest Rocks MAPOLY over NYSC Mobilization

Graduate Students of the 2019 set of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta on Friday protested the alleged delay in the mobilization of students for the National Youth Service Corps by the school management.

The students armed with placards blocked the entrance of the institution, bringing vehicular movement to a halt.

Speaking to Galaxy News, some of the students queried the delay by the school authorities; with a plea that their names be forwarded to NYSC for mobilization as over three thousand of them are affected.

They noted that their colleagues in other institutions have served and are doing well in their respective field; stressing that the senate list be sent for NYSC mobilization.

In his reaction, the Acting Rector of the institution, Dr Adeoye Odedeji said some of the students have not completed their registration as it is required of them to do so.

He however said the school has started the process of mobilization for those who have completed their registration.
