President Bola Tinubu has said his administration's bold and transformative policies are beginning to yield positive results. He said this is evidenced by the gradual stabilisation of the Nigerian economy.

The President made the remarks as part of message to Nigerians on the commencement of the Ramadam Fasting. According to the President, the Gross Domestic Product for the last quarter of 2024 showed a marked improvement over the same period in 2023.

He said the once-soaring prices of essential food items are now downward, providing much-needed relief to our fasting population and all Nigerians. Tinubu also said the exchange rate is stabilizing, and fuel prices are declining, signaling a brighter future.

He said as the wet season approaches, the government remain steadfast in boosting agricultural productivity. He said his govt is determined to enhance food production and ensure self-sufficiency and food security for all Nigerians through targeted input support, mechanization, and innovative farming initiatives.

On the Ramadam season, Tinubu said it’s a sacred month, which should serve as time for sober reflections. He called on all Nigerians to join hands in prayer and action for country’s continued growth and development.

He sought Allah's guidance and protection for the nation, asking the words and deeds of citizens reflect the shared commitment to peace, unity, and progress. He congratulated the Muslim faithful in Nigeria and worldwide as they begin the sacred month of Ramadan.

He said this year's Ramadan holds special significance as it coincides with a period of renewed hope and progress for the nation. The president extended his heartfelt wishes to all Muslims observing Ramadan for a month filled with joy, peace, and spiritual renewal. He asked that the blessings of the holy month illuminate the hearts and homes, and may citizens emerge from it as better individuals and a stronger nation.
