Plateau Pogrom, Youth Leader Ignores Curfew, Mobilizes For War
Plateau Youth leader calls for war against killers after the Palm Sunday massacre of Christians in Angwa Rukuba.
The Youth Leader, in a trending video, decried their belief in one ideology of death not caused by sickness but by genocide. This belief, he subtly attributed to vengeance.
He issued a stern mandate to all the youth that the issue of peace has passed since they have discovered, every now and then, that innocent souls have been slaughtered without any reason, continuously.
"As a leader, I am telling us from today, the issue of peace and unity we should keep it aside."
Her cautioned that anybody that does like peace and unity, should not tough a single soul from today.
"If we encounter anything related to this, even a single soul, mark today's date, based on the ideology in which I grew, we believe nobody will slaughter innocent soul from today.
"No child will be slaughtered on the Plateau from today.
"Please it is a stand without any fear. If you like you tag your name Boko Haram, insurgency, militia army, Fulani herdsmen, you are all the same.
"On the Plateau, there is no room for you.
"From today, all the youth leaders, if you know that you are a youth leader, you come close. You are not being given this mandate to go and sit down.
"The Reverend has said something."
Meanwhile, Plateau State Government had proclaimed a 48-hour curfew in the Jos North Local Government Area, after pogrom in Angwan Rukuba community - essentially, the Gari Ya Waye area - in Jos North Local Government Area, on Palm Sunday.
The Plateau State Police Command acknowledged that 12 persons were killed, who include 10 men and 2 women, ion the attack.
The locals from the Berom Youth Moulders Association, BYM, disputed the figure given by the police. They said casualty has risen to 27, saying 14 persons were killed on the scene, while 13 died in the hospital.
