Oyo Gets First Female Police Commissioner

Oyo State now has a new commissioner of police. Ngozi Onadeko, who has just been posted to the command is the first female to occupy that position in the pace-setter state.

She will be replacing Nwachuckwu Enwonwu, who took over 7 months ago from Mr Shina Olukolu.

The order, according to police sources, was given yesterday by the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.

The posting, with those of other commissioners of police to various commands, is with immediate effect.

The state police public relations officer, who was recently promoted to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police CSP, Olugbenga Fadeyi, could not be reached for comment as at press time.
