The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has assured Corps Members that their monthly allowance will increase to ₦77,000 starting in March 2025.

NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, confirmed this during an interactive session at the Wuse and Garki NYSC Zonal Offices in Abuja. Addressing concerns about delays, he reaffirmed the NYSC’s and Federal Government’s commitment to Corps Members’ welfare.

“With effect from March, you will receive Seventy-Seven Thousand Naira as your monthly allowance,” he stated, assuring timely payments.

He urged Corps Members to remain patient and dedicated to their service, emphasising NYSC’s role in national unity. Zaka Deborah Alheri, speaking on behalf of Corps Members at the Garki Zone, expressed gratitude for the Director General’s efforts in ensuring the implementation of the allowance increase.
