Nigeria custom inpounds pangolin scales worth 3.9 billion
The Nigeria custom service Federal operations zone B kaduna has raised concern over an endangered species called Pangolin scales which has been impounded and the value  of the seizure at the International market is Three Billion, Nine Hundred and Fifty-Five Million, Five Hundred and Ninety-Six Thousand Naira
 
Addressing newsmen on Wednesday the controller Ahmadu shuaibu says the pangolin scales weighs 445.45KG  was impounded on the offence of export prohibition and the offence contravene Section 55 (1) paragraph C   I of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Act 2023.
 
Shuaibu said the NCS on actionable intelligence the operatives storm a hideout known as slaughter house in the suburbs of Zuru Town in Kebbi State and  The team discovered and evacuated sacks of pangolin scales.
 
The Nigerian custom says the Unit shall continue to enforce the Federal Government policies in line with International best practices, no matter the campaign of calumny against the Service.
