Worried by the rising crime rate in Edo State following the withdrawal of policemen from the streets, two suspected armed robbers have been set ablaze in Benin the Edo state capital

The armed robbers were said to be members of a four-man gang who were apprehended at Upper Sakpoba area of Benin where they had gone to rob.

The other two robbers were however lucky to have escaped but the two unlucky ones were beaten to a pulp before tyres soaked with petrol was placed on them before being set ablaze

When contacted, the Edo state police spokesperson Chidi Nwabuzor did not return his calls despite efforts for him to speak on the jungle justice.
